Dreams to Nightmares —
Dreams to Nightmares showcases how some of your deepest desires can end up being your biggest nightmares. Sometimes your dreams can destroy you & twist you in ways that you’d never think possible. To me i wanted to focus on highlighting the importance of understanding that not everything is what it seems, so don’t focus on things that can’t feel that empty void. I wanted to really give off different moods with each poster & made sure that i kept that throughout the entire project.
lust.
with the first installation in this series, i wanted to focus on something that i believe is focused on way to much in our society which is lust. the shift in everyday life where people crave lust instead of love can put you in horrible situations & it also just isn’t good for your self-esteem. i wanted to focus on the negative shift from something beautiful & elegant; to dark & devious.
imagery.
in terms of the imagery for this installation, i really wanted to make sure i highlighted the dark tones with the black & white stylistic theme. overall, you’ll notice that the dark black & white theme gives off a certain vibe.
